The Dutch Supreme Court has recently ruled in a case in which the Court of Appeal refused to grant adjournement after a decision in an interim judgment. As a result, the defendant could no longer respond to documents submitted and lost the case. The Supreme Court ruled that the postponement was wrongly refused. The defendant can now defend himself at another Court.
